"From early beginnings when the company concentrated on servicing American tug boats and oilfield supply/support vessels that were driven by Detroit Diesel and EMD propulsion engines and auxiliaries, it was soon appointed to represent the sales and service requirements of such well established manufacturers as Volvo Penta, Iveco and Scania in all respects of its marine business.
Lister and Gardner engines in addition to the Zone Two equipment manufacturer Pyroban, whose products have been providing safe working environments onshore and offshore for twenty-five years, soon supplemented these well-known names. Ford's industrial diesel engine, customised by Perry's was soon being built into a number of offshore power packs and high pressure water-jetting machines.
Of no less importance to the company was the range of transmissions, marine, industrial and highway, that were offered for sale or rebuilt on our premises for its varied range of customers who include bus and coach operators, train operators, refuse carts and off-highway shovels, scrapers and dump trucks. Allison and ZF form the backbone of this aspect of the business.
On-site facilities in our purpose-built building now includes a 1000 bhp dynamometer, located in its own test house silenced and cooled by a water tower. The new workshop, located on the Gapton Hall Industrial Estate, Gt. Yarmouth is equipped with an overhead crane and contains Parts and Service Departments with the technical ability to service and support our entire range of manufacturer's products.
Within the last five years in addition to Parts, Service and Sales, a Well Service Department has been established constructing and refurbishing nitrogen pumps, cement blenders, hydraulic power packs and a range of oilfield tools for the offshore gas and oilfields in the North Sea and beyond.
Our team of factory trained Service Engineers remain ready to travel anywhere in the world to undertake a repair or refit, to construct a new generator or simply tune your engine or pump to achieve better performance.
